Remember that report about how the U.S. Census doesn’t consider dads to be a “designated parent?” Well, the outrage hasn’t died and somebody much more motivated than me started a petition at change.org to wave in front of the big mucky-mucks at the U.S. Census Bureau. Really? The United States Census Bureau is seriously using overtly sexist double standards, and trying to justify them by citing traditional gender roles? They’re just assuming the mother is always the primary caregiver, without even bothering to ask? >_<
